We are a family owned and operated Cow-Calf operation located in Madison, GA raising registered Red Angus cattle. Although a relatively new operation, having started in 2019, both Brian and Jessica have extensive production agricultural backgrounds and have maintained agriculturally related careers.
Brian grew up in Blairsville GA on a commercial Sim Angus cow herd and was very active in FFA and 4-H. A 4-H commercial heifer project turned into showing registered Simmental and ChiAngus through high school. Helping his father and sister, they were successful in showing ChiAngus on a national level. Attending the University of Georgia, he was a member of their livestock judging program, was President of Block and Bridle and was active in the cattle industry. After UGA, he came to work at Godfreys Warehouse Inc, a mainstay in the feed business in Georgia. After helping in their wholesale feed sales, he transitioned to the role he helps Godfreys with today. Brian is the main buyer of commodities for Godfreys and also trades feed ingredients across the eastern US, helping cattlemen of all sizes
Jessica was raised in Lexington, SC on her multi-generational family vegetable row crop farm. She was active in FFA throughout high school holding officer positions, competing in local, state and national level Career Development Events, and obtaining the highest award levels available. Currently, she owns and operates a dry bulk logistics company facilitating the movement of feeds, grains and other commodities delivering into and out of feed mills and farms all across the country.
Even though we have maintained agricultural connections, we both wanted to get back to our roots of production ag. It wasn’t until the birth of our first child, Annabelle (2018), that we decided to put it in action. Soon after Annabelle arrived our son, Champ (2020), and we completed our family with Eloise (2023), made us a family of 4. It was important to us to raise our children with the values and work ethics you can only get from being raised on a farm.
After much research and thought, we decided to dive into the Red Angus breed. Red Angus is a breed that is not very prominent in the Southeast. It allows us to provide a different genetic offering in this area. They also offer the docility we desired and needed having two small children in tow. Also, their excellent maternal traits lend to the cow-calf operation we wanted to focus on. Visit OUR PROGRAM to learn more about our start and herd!
